Aloha, my name is Michelle Lelle (Lelle Vie). I have been serving the community of Hawaii wellness since 2011. I am an artisan botanical extractor and massage therapist. I have owned several spas and botanical labs over the years.
On August 8th our town was impacted by the fire. My spa in Lahaina is now a closed time capsule until the water is safe again. I have not had income for two months and didn’t qualify for any assistance because my home didn’t burn, and SBA requires proof of income to qualify for a loan.
In the meantime, I have borrowed money from my closest friends to open a location with a chiropractor whose new business burned in Lahaina. I have begun offering free wellness at the 9am hour and have also worked in several who needed wellness desperately. Almost every guest has lost a home, family member or friend in the fire.
Any money contributed would be used to pay back the monies I’ve borrowed to reopen my business, help to pay the rent for the spa that is still unable to operate, and allow me to continue offering free wellness at the 9am hour beyond my goal of December 31,2023.
